When Nancy and I decided to embark on building a new home we were prepared to cross many roadblocks and hurdles along the way. We were not looking forward to the process as much as we should have. We looked at 4 or 5 builders along the way until we finally met Rob from Reimer homes. Right from the start we felt at ease with Rob but they were unknown to us and we were unsure if we could entrust such a large financial commitment in the hands of a relatively unknown company. After we met Matt and some of the other guys we realized that our initial instinct was correct, not only were they the right company, for us they were the right people.

When we signed our deal and began the process many of our friends were already in the basement stage of their build and we hadn’t even dug our hole yet. They would scoff at our possession date and say “you just wait until this stage or that stage, you won’t move until at least 6 months after possession”. We would hear them tell nightmarish stories left and right when they would ask us for a few stories of our own we didn’t have anything negative to say. They must have thought we were just trying to be nice but everything was exactly as planned up to this point. They answered every question no matter how many (and there were many) with a smile and always with the aim of being sure we got what we wanted. When we finally took possession of our new home it was exactly as we had envisioned it would be. And our friends were right, we did get a late possession … 36 days late due to weather and some unforeseen circumstances. It was exactly 12 months and 6 days from signing not bad at a time when 18 months was standard.

My wife and I were expecting the worst but were pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed this experience. We would do it again if we didn’t love our home so much! Thanks so much to all with Reimer Homes you truly are the best.
